Rugby Legend Speaks at End of Season Rugby Dinner
After presenting the end of season awards to players from the senior and youth Pontyclun RFC rugby players, Phil Bennett told his audience some fantastic rugby stories.
Phil Bennett is one the best players ever to grace a rugby field, with a list of honours that include a British and Irish Lions win in South Africa in 1974, Grand Slams and Triple Crowns with Wales, and the famous 9-3 Llanelli RFC victory over the New Zealand All Blacks in October 1972.
Even though many of the players attending the end of season dinner had never seen Phil play in a red shirt, they were mesmerized by the charming wit of the little man from Felinfoel.
